Default SV650.org Calling Cards

I think we had this idea before in the dim and distant past.
Other forums have used this method to promote themselves, seems like a good idea.

When you meet an SV owner at the pumps, carpark etc. or just see a bike parked but no-one's around - leave a business card. I find it a bit awkward to 'break the ice' if I'm not on the bike, they think you're some lousy cager going to give them hell or something! As if!

What do you lot think? You can get them done pretty cheaply these days. Or maybe we have a forum member with printing firm contacts so we could get an even better deal?

Vista Prints for example do a 250 for free deal (using their template), or 500 for £6.99 which would be plenty probably.

Seems a bit sad to carry around a pocket full of those. I'd rather just talk to them. If they're not at their bike then its not the end of the world.

I have wedged a sheet of A4 onto a K4? at work as they are in a different department and our work times don't coincide.

Surly you don't need cards if you have you keys on you?

Had this done by vista print earlier this year. I used to pop em on SVs I spotted as I rode around London.

Just asking because deb's had the same idea years ago. She made up some cards for us to hand out, I've got no idea if we ever had anyone join back then either.

Well Raf, i suppose the question is how many would have joined if you/she hadnt put them there? The cards are free so all you have to do is put in a little effort, then carry a few around with you.

My sentiments exactly Jester. Spread the word. Not everyone uses the net for social networking which is pretty much what the mighty .org is!

My idea was that I'm seeing a lot of Sv's around while I'm at work, but I dont really have the time to stop for a chat or look out for the owner every time.
