Idle Banter For non SV and non bike related chat (and the odd bit of humour - but if any post isn't suitable it'll get deleted real quick).
There's also a "U" rating so please respect this. Newbies can also say "hello" here too.

Default Hello everyone

Hi all

Just a quick hello from me to all you Orgers.

I've been quietly stalking this site for the past few months and decided it was time I said hello to you all.

Here's a little about myself:

Just a quick hello from me to all you Orgers.

I've been quietly stalking this site for the past few months and decided it was time I said hello to you all.

Here's a little about myself:

I passed my DAS this time last last year and bought myself a nice 2003 SV 650s in Sonic Silver.
It's a bog standard SV apart from a Hi-level CCC exhaust and i've only managed 5000 or so miles on it so far, albeit happy miles.

I decided to join this site/forum as everyone seems to get along really well, not to mention the great help/advice you people give and i'd love to be a part of it.
I don't really have anyone to ride with and would really like to to meet some of you guys/girls on rideouts, trackdays and rallies etc.

Well, when I say "I don't have anyone to ride with" that's a bit of a lie as I have a friend who rides a CBR1000F but-
he works 7 days a week and has a girlfriend who nags him everytime we go out together (which is very rarley).
I mean, I've had the SV for a year now and we've been out twice, yes "twice" both times she's thrown a massive wobbler at him and it's getting a bit tedious now, even though I've known him nearly 20 years, a hell of a lot longer than she has.

He's been riding since he was 16/17 (we're both 31) and loves riding everywhere mostly well into the trebble figures, far out of my comfort zone as i'm a "plodder" that's one of the reasons I got the SV.
He's worked as a bike courier and is currently a delivery driver and is far more experienced on the road than myself.
For example, we went to the Lake District and done the Hardknock and Wrynose Passes, Devils Bridge etc, at the end of of the day he said "those views were amazing wern't they?" and I was like "I don't know, I missed them all as I was concentrating so hard on the road trying to keep up with you".
Also he's allways saying, "when I overtake or filter follow me, you'll be ok with me", sorry but i'd rather not put my life/licence in the hands of someone else and I made that quite clear to him.

Like I said he loves riding everywhere at the rate of knots, I spent two years of hard saving to get my licence, bike and leathers etc not to mention the stress of DAS invloved (I really don't want to got through DAS again) lol.

Please don't think i'm a bore, I like a bit of a "play" as much as the next man/woman, but there are times and places for just that.

All in all, i'm just looking for a new circle of friends etc.

I think i've said enough for my first post, sorry for the tangent/rant lol.

Anything you'd like to know about me, just ask.

P.s sorry if the layout of my post is all over the place

Bri
