Off to Hurghada
Folks I'm going off air for the next week as I am going to Hurghada with her-in-doors and the weans

I got nervous climbing onto the floating pontoons in Sharm 'cos the lionfish liked to skulk about underneath them. Its difficult not to let your legs swing underneath as you push up with your arms. Would always have a quick look underneath to see where they were before deciding which side to climb up. No doubt some experienced diver or snorkeller will now tell me I had nothing to worry about.  I also spend about a 30 seconds one foot above a stonefish which lying on the bottom, curiously enjoying the close up of this funny looking camouflaged fish. That night I bought a book and learned what it was!

Just back folks after a fantastic time, Weather was excellent 100 - 110 degrees every day and the diving / snorkling was out of this world.
It was my first time in Egypt and I would definately go again but not in summer as 100 - 110 is hot enough. The resort I was in was a beach resort in El Quseir on the Red Sea which is about 2 hours south of Hurghada Airport. |
