Default Ker-ching!

Turns out work have been underpaying me the past 9 months (tell me something I don't know!) and have spotted this mistake. Long and short of it is that about £1750 after tax should be winging its way to me shortly, as should an extra £200 a month I'd not accounted for

So, looks like an Abba stand and Matris fork internals it is.

My mrs lost her job last week and the kids are getting fed up with the dry toast.

Any chance of a donation?

Mine is talking about changing jobs which will entail a 40% salary cut, so unfortunately I could soon be in the same boat. Best spend the money on trick bits for the bike before "we" need it and it gets "borrowed" for essentials.

On the down side, they are refusing to pay back the interest on it, which should be about £50 by my reckoning.

well at least they own up to it. The forces pay used be ar*e on this subject. if you owed them money it would come out in one go, if they owed you money it took forever to get it from them.

e.g i told them when i cam back from Germany the following month they had carried on paying me the exta £15 a day for being there. They said they would sort it , oh they did after 3 months and took it all back in one go leaving me with a lot less on month. Luckaly i expected it so did not spend the extra money. which effectivly left me ok.

Mine have taken overpayments back in one lump before now with so little warning as to be irrelevant, so don't give them too much credit.

I can't wait till the end of the month, but this time it's for a good reason. I've also just realised I will be on a beach in the Canary islands come pay day. I remind myself of a certain Viz character.

I'm selling my Abba stand and Matris fork internals. £1,749 if you're interested?

I'm not really - I don't even know what they are.

Just recieved the following, my run of good luck continues..

We recently experienced a technical issue with the system that we use for our we.o.u loyalty scheme. Unfortunately, an error resulted in a selection of we.o.u. cardholders being awarded double Stars from 6 August to 3 September and your account was one of those that was affected. The additional Stars were automatically removed where they had been credited in error.
As a gesture of goodwill, and to thank you for your loyal custom, we are now delighted to re-credit your account with these additional Stars and have organised for your balance to be increased accordingly.

I must have done 2500 miles between those dates, 90% of which was fueled by Texaco. So, a fair whack of free stars. I'd best get on their website and see what I can cash them in for.
