Default I'm swollen, purple and throbbing...

My knee kinda hurts too...

Well, after the off at Lydden on Saturday I manfully rode the bike the 100 miles home with my leg sticking out rested on the crash bung and some blurry vision from tears of pain. Took my leathers off to find that my knee has swollen up to the size of a football and turned a nasty purple colour; Nice! Spent saturday night on the couch unable to make it to the loo or the kitchen due to the pain, but it seems to be getting better today. Gotta get a few bits and bobs for my brothers bike now, as I sold the SV to him the day before the track day...

More that a little aware of what you’re going through (unfortunately), the lack of mobility can be very frustrating, spent most of Saturday night and Sunday to wobbly to use crutches even, so bum on floor time to get about, not something I’d choose, but straightly familiar from earlier this year, but do take it easy, have you had it see by anyone yet? Might be wise to pop down the local A&E just to be sure, but I think you’ll be OK, swelling is normal and should go down over the next few days, but it will be sore, at least resting up should pay dividends and it’s only a temporary debility, take it easy Jamie hope it settles down soonest for you.

anyway you can't put up a thread like this without the obliatory picture of discoloured swollen member put it away the knee man, the knee

Got plenty of walking sticks and painkillers here, scotch works to

Cheers Mark.

Good job riding it home! I'd pop down to A&E as Mark said to get it checked out, you only get 2 knees, so look after them!

If you need a hand with your brother's bike then give me a bell and we'll see what can be done.

Basically cranked over with pegs scraping about to try to pass Dan (Sudoxe) when one of the marshalls signalled Dan to close his visor. Dan sat up into my path leaving very little to do but go down. Not Dan's fault, but I think it was a crap piece of marshalling!

Ouch! Did you keep it elevated and pack the ice on? Ibuprofen is as good an anti-inflammatory as you'll get over the counter... Get to the quack and they might give you something better.
