Default How are you after your off?

Having had a few people asking me for updates I thought it'd be wise to post something for all of the recent Crash Club Contestants to update how they are after their close road inspections...

I'm doing OK, my knee is still swollen from the crash and I can't get back on a bike or do anything useful at all (cue jokes about how useful I was before...) but other than that I'm fine. It's more annoying and boring than anything at the mo, sitting watching daytime TV, reading old comics and hitting the "find new posts" link too many times a day...

Having trouble sleeping too: wake up with a dull ache at about 3 and have to go put ice on it and take painkillers...

How's everyone else?

Ive been disabled now for nearly 8 weeks now but i feel fine its just that i cant use my left arm for anything other than light jobs, i can still feel the brake in my collar so i know its not healing altho i have no pain i'm not looking forward to having a plate screwed to my collarbone, other than that its just boredom, like you say bear daytime tv sucks and its only the internet that keeping me sane.

My ankle still fecked after off in May. Can't run or dance. GP is useless, physio not a lot of help.

According to the doctor at the track I will be able to play piano after I'm healed.

Which is brilliant: I couldn't before...

(I'll get my coat)

Hands a bit sore if i try to do too much but i cant feel the bones grating together anymore so thats a plus, hurts to put my gloves on but can ride to and from work without much problem, Leg hurts if i do too much, just walked the dog to the vets and back now the strain is hurting a bit but a short sit down should sort that out, the bruises are starting to turn yellow otherwise fine.

Well least your on the mend crashy. Not long before you can have a go at doing the other knee

Na, seriously, dont make a habit of it! Glad to hear your mending. Maybe you should take up some sort of hobby in the mean time? How long do you think before you can go back to work?

I WILL be back at work on monday, whether I'm ready or not. It's either that or lose my job which I can't afford to do at the moment, so I gotta hope I'm better. That's why I'm putting up with the boredom TBH, I know I have to rest at the mo and that not resting is gonna work against me.

Still a bit pants tho!
