if the UV protection isn't up to scratch they'll turn the lamp housing yellow

buy a proper brand, phillips or osram are good

What TLW said. Also, probably not as bright as the 'proper' things.

I tried some of the first type of 50% brighter bulbs by Philips. Very impressed by their spread of light. The actual light didn't look any brighter, but it seemed to go further, the other advantage they claim is that reflective surfaces, i.e. road marking, number plates, reflect light back from further away. They do to.

I have the exact same ones, From the same place. They dont give off more light like real xennons but they do take out the yellow tint so you have pure white light. They are Just as good as the expensive phillips or osram ones. If you want propper xennon lights than you need to get a HID upgrade where there is a transfromer in the circuit before the bulb. (not seen them for bikes thought only cars). But you will be fine with the bulbs you got. Ace parts are a very reputable dealer.

I wouldn't buy 'em personally, any tinted bulb like these is always less bright than it would be without the tint, so they're sacrificing function for looks. It's not to say they won't be any good, but by design they're less good than they could have been, that annoys me
