Default Need Help!?!!

hey folks, can someone help this poor wee scots loon out? MY old man is going down to the big smoke to pick up his brand new bike ( A BMW- He is very old) and I have been asked(told) to sort out paying his congestion charge whattsit.

I have no idea what to do as he's in a commercial van and the TFL web site doesn't seem to like me

Does anyone know what I should do?? He will get down after 6 tonight and be staying in EC1N area and picking bike up from park lane tomorrow.

Help, help, help! Us Scots don't suffer these kind of evils so all help is appreciated and thanks in advance

Zone is

To pay for your Congestion Charge by telephone, please call

The charge is £8 if you pay by midnight on the day of travel or £10 if you pay by midnight the following charging day (you can pay the following charging day via the call centre and website only).

(cut and pasted for you as I've never had to sort it out myself.....)

I havnt had the pleasure of riding into the congestion charging zone and not paying, making me feel uber-smug as i filter past car drivers who pay to get stuck in traffic. I'll have to try this one day.

Before bikes are included aswell.

I really don't think they could ever justify charging bikes to enter the congestion zone, there'd be uproar anyway! If they did they would surely have to include bicycles as they take up the same space on the road. Or am I just living in a fluffy bunny world of my own?

And yes, feeling smug is all part of the daily commute

Thanks for your efforts in helping me out.

Dad picked up the bike this morning and is heading back up to Bonnie Aberdeen now- 9hours van drive. ( 7 if he had used the bike)!

Still don't know if I paid the right amount as afterwards realised his van is classed as commercial. Oh well, he should have done it himself.

Thanks again folks.
