Default Flourescent paint? Really flexible reflective tape?

Anyone got any experience of this stuff? Halfords sell one in rattle can, it's probably rubbish but does it actually work? Also, anyone know if there's a highly flexible high quality retroreflective (not your everyday rubbish, but like the 3M stuff used in rated hi-viz gear) which could be convinced to bend around curves and contours (like, for instance, a helmet or top box)

Just thinking out loud...

I'd slice and dice a hi vis vest and glue it on.

That or do something similar, stick an old fishing rod to the topbox and have a day-glow jolly roger

Wouldn't work for what I have in mind... It's got to apply much like vinyl tape.

Theres the 3M - Hi-Viz tape - comes in a load of colours, including Black - the stuff the stickers on the front of my bike are done in.

The 3M name for this product is Scotchlite.

Heres some on Ebay

If its black you want and dont need loads, I'll bring some for you on Friday.

Mental image----Northy sitting with rolls of black and white reflective tape cutting it into squares and doing a mosaic line round his bike and helmet. A visit to Halfords for a nice dayglow reflective jacket and blue running lights

---NOW WILL YOU BARSTEWARDS GET OUT OF MY WAY---

Sorry,I'll get my coat

That's it exactly- perfect. Won't be using black, but they have what I'm after. Cheers! Shame it doesn't work on chelsea tractors

Some of these guesses are closer than others but it's a kind of fun idea and won't be done for ages if I do it so I'll not give it away.
