Default Innertube - punctures

Ok, can anyone see a problem with using an innertube on an SV on a tubeless tyre if/when it has picked up a puncture ... obviously using common sense that the puncture was irritating small nail say, not a bit of scaffold pole stuck out!

I mean, I guess the tube should form/deform to the insides of the tyre and press it on the rim just as if it was plain air surely???

I believe Rictus uses an inner tube & normal SV type tubless tyres on his spoked wheels. So can't see it being a problem just overkill compared with a puncture repair. But I guess you have a free inner tube

Yes, I now have an inner tube

The beauty of using the inner tube is not only is it free to fix and have minimal chance of failure, that if you pick up further punctures, you can just fix the tube with a normal pushbike repair kit (I presume)

It is not difficult at all, you just have to pay a professional to do it*!!

*i.e. a 'mushroom' type repair is the only proper repair and what the pros use ... to my mind, reaming a f-ing great hole in a tyre and bunging in a bit of rubber from the outside, isn't a satisfactory long-term repair

Erm the pros do it by cleaning the inside of the tyre in the area of the hole, then gluing in a patch which has a stalk on it (hence called a mushroom) which goes to fill any hole in the tread area, this is then trimmed off.

The ream a hole in it and stuff from the outside repairs are only ever temp roadside, get you to a proper place fixes.

Blue, you have the tools to fit your own tyres, can't you just do a 'proper' puncture repair?
