Default Rideout Rota

Hi Guys and girls,

Just a thought....perhaps we should try to come up with some sort of rideout rota. Mike's done one this year, then it was Pete and now Sean...then it's Skip's turn followed by myself....then who?

We should try to get everyone planning at least one ride per year, so that we can do at least one a month? Maybe more in the better months. Then we would all know who's doing what and we would have a decent amount of time to sort it.

What do you all think.

Not a bad idea Keith - but it does seem that we are doing that anyway without actually setting a rota up!

Me

Got the weekend thing planned in August, could do with a few recce runs of it to see how it is. And also trying to sort one out soon aswell (just a little one). More over this way, thats the prob. I lately haven't been travveling far for rides therefore I don't think (which is fair enough) that people are willing to travel for me

Sean has seen some of the roads I have found, he likes them I think

TBH.....the seeds of some of these rides have sort have been er...planted by one or two people

I thought it might be an idea, just to keep the ball rolling and so people could have plenty of time to get something sorted.

Sean's ride is being sorted as we speak.....you've already started to plan yours and once my bike is back in one piece I'm going to be do a reccy of some roads, for one in July....what's this that you've got planned in August Plowsie?....something I've missed?

Might be an idea Skip if we hook up to find some good roads around Norfolk.

Sadly for us, we won't be able do rides with EAR as regularly in the summer I reckon, due to other commitments.

It certainly would seem to be a good idea to keep the rideouts coming though, as it does give everybody something to look forward to and plan for.

Shame Pete - but I understand - so many rideouts - not enough weekends!

Keith - yes we should hook up and check out some roads - there are some great unexplored ones in Suffolk I would like to try

Good idea keith. All those you've mentioned are the usual suspects so its a good base for a rota of sorts.

As for unexplored roads in suffolk.. the roads I rode on a whim back from halstead-> saffron walden-> newmarket -> cambridge were great fun, and I'd never been near them before.. I think every now and then, I'll have to look at a map, pick a route using a load of new roads and just see what its like.. so much to explore!
