Default Extreme makeover - Pimpin the Twin

Hi all,

Well it has all begun and with some of the parts arriving this weekend I have started the makeover process!

My Canvas ...

And the first addition are the new belly and and hugger from Poly26
It has transformed the looks of the bike in my opinion!!

Have a look for yourself !

Watch this space as the bike goes in for a custom paint job on saturday and will then be followed by

Zero Gravity DB Screen
Tank Raise and SV1000 snorkel
Full Yoshimura TRS system
All stainless bolts
New Indicators
Rear seat conversion

Its gonna be a busy winter !!

Let me know what you think !!

Any chance of higher res photos? It's difficult to see any detail on the tiny ones you posted.

You need to at the end of it.......or you can use the little yellow mountain range looking button when you open up the reply to thread window.

Looks good by the way.

Time for the shameless promotion of my bike

They look great when they are painted nicly. Make sure you get the surface prepped properly becuase the finish can be abit rough.

Also, run it for abit, then take off the bellypan and make sure that there isnt any fouling against the exhaust link pipe. mine started to burn it and i had to use heat wrap to prevent massive damage. After a year the paint has finally started to bubble on the outisde due to the heat.

Hope yours doesnt have this problem!

Look forward to seeing it painted.

fancy another pic? oh ok, you twisted my arm!!

Sorry meant to ask another question - Can i replace my rear shock with a K5/K6 without any modifications to the frame. HAve been looking on EvilBay and seen a few going for a fairly resonable price - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...:B:WNA:GB:1123 -

Would this have gone straight into mine ??

do a search, there are loads of threads on this. The swap is quite simple, just abit of cutting to the batery box required IIRC
