Default Shocking update

Well- I had another shocking time at Chez Spanneur today.

Had the rear shock upgraded to a Hagon. Also, new front brake discs, pads and wheel bearings.

While there, I cleaned my rhs hanger, footrest and brake pedal (was sticking and not returning to position properly).

Had a lovely, if fricking cold time, with lots of grease, coffee and buckets of smut. I'm still warming up!

The bike feels waaaay more solid now- even the seat feels more comfy! Very happy indeed. Though, didn't get much chance to test it all on the way back- cold cold weather, traffic and bedding in new brakes all adds up to ride safe...!

So cheers again Stewart and Bill! My bike and I are much happier again...

Good morning all.

I'm glad you're happy with your new rear end & discs Donal. I hope all the greasing of your spindle didn't leave any friction burns OUCH! I'm also happy to hear that the coffee & smut was up to our usual standard.
Bit of a poxy day today, I doubt that you'll do much testing of your new bits.
We are looking into doing a 'lendablowlamp' scheme, whereby customers can borrow one to remove their frozen body parts from the petrol tank upon arriving home. What do you reckon?

I was indeed located in the Northern wastelands. I moved there at the end of 2004. However due to the fact that I couldn't get the hang of the dialect, I relocated back to the South, to the area where I started my business in 1993. I'm located at the top of the M3 in Sunbury. So, not too far for you Guildford chaps to come.

Cheers.

Yep- I'll be in the queue for the blowlamp scheme. I could do with a....oh I see.

I did the right thing getting to you yesterday- couldn't believe my eyes when I looked out of the window. WHEN WILL IT END?

My spindle is fine- the greasing avoided the friction. It's seen worse wear in the past!

Don't forget the star jumps today! Took me about an hour to thaw today.

Cheers!

Donal

When I was reading the first post, even before I got to the bit at the bottom that names Stewart and Bill, somehow, just somehow I knew it was you two!

Good morning all.

I tried the blowlamp OUCH!!!

You did indeed do the right thing in coming in on tuesday, you would have got soaked if it had been today! Good to hear that your spindle's fine, & I don't think the forum need to know whre else it's been

It was star jumps yesterday, & a mackintosh today, but at least I found the one without bottomless pockets

Listen here young Matt! I believe that you're implying that on top of providing excellent service to Motorcyclists, we somehow lapse into vulgarities, non PC humour, & innuendo on a regular basis! HMMMMM! We'll have the honeydippedwetkipper ready to flog you with upon your next visit, & as an 'extra' we'll marinade it in lemon juice, & roll it in salt!

Cheers.
