I don't know what I've done wrong but my gladius insurance is up for renewal on 01 June, I did a compare the Market and went direct to carole Nash and Bennett, the problem is they are all coming back with £250 voluntary excess (which is fine)... And then £650 compulsory!! I've not had any claims and now have 2 yrs no claims... I'm sayig I'll do 5k miles, no pillion, comuting to one place of work, no other riders, no modifications.
I spoke to swinton on the phone and asked why it was so high but they said they are only brokers so don't know. Anyone have any idea why this might be happening?? I think my excess is £250 voluntary and £300 compulsory at the moment... |

Call them rather than use the internet and when yu get through to someone who has a brain....just have a chat and ask how much more your premium would be if they dropped the compulsory excess.
I had the CG with Bennets and swapped it over to the CG. When I was out on Monday, I had a call from them saying that actually as it is a grey import, the compulsory excess would be increased??? So....I cancelled and called Motorcycle Direct as they'd given a great quote online for the babyblade. The premium was coming out at £183.77 including breakdown and legal assistance. This had a £250 voluntary and £175 compulsory. When chatting, she said she'd see if she could bring that down. I ended up with a premium of £196.77 and a £175 excess........much better. Give it a go and see what happens. HTH x |

Sigh!!!!
I called express who I am in insured with ATM, they quoted 550 for both my bikes with 200 total excess, I said swinton quoted me 300 with 350 excess and I got express down to 395. Needless to say I've gone ahead with it. |

So is it £395 with £200 excess then? If so, for two bikes, that's not bad
