Default Dealer, independent or resident fettler?

It's about time my K6 had a good looking at, I've done all the basic servicing but it is just passed the 24K mark and I'd like a proper in depth going over for it. will a dealer service at that mileage check all those things? (I appreciate it would check whats in the service interval but are there things that it would likely miss?)
I suspect an independent would be cheaper but perhaps not as knowledgeable about the foibles of the SV so I'm unsure if that would be good value for money.

My third option is one of the usual well recommended people from here.

Any ideas what a good service like that would cost? obviously ball park figure is all I'm expecting, just checking I can afford it when pay day comes around.

as usual any help and advice greatly appreciated.

I got a big service done the other day (around 26k)
That was everything that was meant to be checked + fitting a few parts like head bearings and rear pads
In total it was 7 hours labor + the parts = £370
So I think an incredible price for all the work that was done!
(Work done by Spannerman) bit of a trek for you to london but thought that might give you a price idea

cool thanks for the reply, spot on with the price advice, just what I was looking for, from what I hear his pricing is keen though so will budget a bit more.

If I were closer I'd be straight round to spannerman with all the praise that comes from here.
