Default Dyno Rod

Is it just me or does it seem strange that dyno rod vans start out life quite orrange but it seems to wash / fade off quite a bit.. just an observation i made when i saw one earlier, seen it loads of times but it just seems pointless painting a van for it to just dssapear (the paint not tha van )
