Firstly I am sure someone with vastly more experience than me will pipe up soon...
I think I get what you're saying...Curvy SV with BMC filter, re-jetted, full system exhaust, adj rear shock and no lights etc hence the daytime MOT, and you have mis-firing after a little bit. I'd take the spark plugs out and inspect them first, it may be they just need cleaning/replacing It wouldn't hurt to get yourself a copy of a service manual either...not sure where the link is but a PDF version is get-able Maybe others can give a more concrete list of inspections/adjustments to make to the bike to eliminate any problems there might be

sounds like the jetting is to large- thus running lean. Drop Yorkie Chris a message he should be able to confirm that.
Whats the changes to exhaust also? What size jet is in the Carbs? Bigcookie- so your aware minitwins have to run 'forecourt' fuel (95, 97 or 102 [if you've got money to burn ![]() Irridum CR8E or 9's are the best for the motor

I suspect big jets would make it rich.

Start with the basics. Choke plungers can stick partly on (especialy on the front carb) This leads to a running problem that gets worse as the motor warms up (as mentioned by madandy). Inspecting the plugs can be worth doing as an aid to seeing if one is blacker than the other etc, but damaged plugs are rarer nowadays ![]() Jambo

If the jet is too small for the exhaust system (not enough fuel getting through). I know, just made sure it was mentioned, as Madandy runs avgas. But as you've said start with the likely ones and work from there

Glad you got it sorted, have fun with those wheelies and I'll no doubt see you about
![]() You'll have to come for a ride one weekend with the EAR gang, it would be great to have a track bike out with us! Just keep an eye out in the EAR section for spur of the moment ride outs...we had a little one out to Hunstanton and around abouts Monday just gone and I expect there to be a few more yet
