I'm getting more and more angry the more I hear more about the truth behind the Hillsborough disaster and cover up. Horrible, cowardly, vile police, press and politicians involved.
Utmost respect to the families and friends of the dead that wouldn't give up fighting. At my age I shouldn't be surprised, is anyone surprised, is anyone bothered? |

Nothing about that era surprises me.

I'm not surprised because I think everyone always knew the truth about it - not that I think it's alright!
I'm glad the families have the full truth in writing now though; it may help bring them closure. |

Finally the truth. I would hope that those responsible are brought to book, although I'd be surprised if anything actually happens.

Finally, the families have been vindicated in their claims of a cover up.
I sincerely hope that some sort of action can be taken against the members of the South Yorks Constabulary concerned - the Daily Telegraph is reporting that prosecutions for manslaughter and perverting the course of justice against public bodies and officials could be considered. RIP 'The 96' ![]()

For years, as 'scousers', Liverpool fans etc, we've been subjected to abuse for supporting the justice campaign to reveal what is probably one of the biggest cover ups ever exposed in recent UK history.
I've heard all the chants under the sun from opposing fans, read all the lies, seen the truth be buried by the media, compounded by successive lame governments. If you haven't already taken time to read the Lord Justice Taylor reports, then the full disclosure and weigh them up against the inquests, mini inquests, media, government and emergency services events of that day, then I would encourage you to do so. Today was such a MASSIVE step forward in getting the truth to finally be acknowledged, but it's only the first step. What we need is for the Attorney General to overturn the previous decrees around how and when people died and begin a new inquest to finally serve justice to the families who deserve it. I'm truly amazed by the fight that the families have put up in the face of adversity, for so, so many years and at last, they're starting to bear fruit. JFT96 YNWA |

Nah, the sun will never live down their headline.
A full page apology text instead of we lied would be better |

Doesn't matter what the S*N says, ever. The damage was done years ago, they, Mackenzie and everyone since, knew and always have known 'the truth' but only now, people are being forced to admit it. Unfortunately, that has no credibility, being forced to apologise and hiding behind alleged 'misinformation' isn't acceptable.
