Default Pointy STV starting position?

Hello, new here but had sv650 for a while. I am having trouble starting my bike after a month of being laid up. My question is what position should the secondary throttle butterflies be in after you have switched on and they have cycled? Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure. However, if you were to start with which year and model of bike you have, what is and is not working (does it turn over, are there any error codes on the dash, have you checked for a spark), we may be able to get you sorted.

I am guessing if they are questioning secondary throttle butterflies it is a "pointy"

It's a bit worrying if it is causing issues after a month, my SV1000S has sat for four months and I know she'll start first time.

Default Butterflies

They don't "cycle", when cold they will open a tiny bit as they operate the fast idle cam. If it's an early Pointy that is - like Jambo said it would help if we knew a bit more specifically which model it is.
