Default Brakes. Where, what and how much?

I'm about due to change my pads and was wondering what to go for and how much they will be?

I'm an average(ish) rider no high speed breaking or anything. The bike is fairly standard so just want a pad that wont let me down if I decide to get a little adventurous in the summer (god forbid).

I used EBC HHs and liked them... Never tried the competition though.

Carbone Lorraines always get a good write up. Hein Gericke pads are actually made by Carbone Lorraine. The are about £18 - £20 per side IIRC.
