Default Cracked Snow Plough/rear mud guard/numberplate mount

Before anyone points it out, no that isn't a good thing!

Just to let anyone else in my position (K3-5 with a touring scottoiler fitted) be warned, my bike's snow plow cracked today. I was aware that it was an issue, experienced by our very own mass (see: http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.ph...ght=scottoiler)
and even one recognised by Scottoiler, but had delayed doing anything about it. Instead I just checked it regularly for damage/signs of it giving, but until now it was fine. I was planning on waiting till I could afford an aftermarket undertray and put the bike back to "toy status" (currently haven't got a car, so bike is being used for winter commuting and aesthetics take second place to not getting a "skunk's tail" of dirt); Junking the original snowplough, putting an aftermarket undertray and fender eliminator on and just using the normal scottoiler.

The actual crack occured on the plastic around the two rearmost bolts that attach it to the subframe. For the record, getting the snow plough off in one piece without damaging the undertray is a bit fiddly and takes longer than you'd expect (doesn't it always ). I've taken it off and, as a temporary measure, effected a repair on the cracks using strongest strength areldite. I've also completey removed the touring scottoiler/mounts from behind the numberplate and put it back to stock (the normal scottoiler is going to be cable-tied to the subframe, under the fairing)I'm hoping that'll hold whilst I look for a replacement snowplow (must be some barely used ones going cheap, given their lack of popularity), or get a fender eliminator.

I'm just considering myself lucky that I went for a ride today and it happened now, when I have time to fix it, rather than next week when it will be used for commuting every day.
