Default Starting problems with my Sv 650 K3

Hya guys - need your help on starting issues!

My SV 650 K3 have stood untouched and unstarted since November 05 and I've come so far with my project that the Duc piping is welded and in place, installed the battery and hoping for a direct startup. Tried starting for a couple of minutes without any success (not even igniting once!) and had a bit of unlock and run out of battery power. Gave the battery some power for some minutes (you know, I'm in a hurry... ) until the bike finally started. At this point it's I thought YES!

BUT, once I got it started it span for a couple of seconds before completely dying. Tried ~20 times and had the same result - starting, running a couple of seconds and dying. The same happens when starting and giving it a bit on the throttle, it takes rpm's but dies...

What you reccon guys? Battery power too low? Anybody had similar problems?

Since I'm new with Suzuki and SV here comes a simple but stupid question - Does the bike have a choke somewhere that I can't find?

Thanks for your help!

Best wishes,

Patrik

Its a FI bike so the choke is handled automaticly.

You could have bad fuel possably.

Have you tried some fresh fuel ? Liz had a similar problem with her old bike that had been stood since before Christmas. She took the plugs out and cleaned them, replaced the plugs still wouldnt start. Put some fresh fuel in the tank and gave the tank a good shake to mix the fuel up and it started.

Default PROBLEM FIXED!!!!!!!!

Hi guys!

Ok, went to the garage this evening. Had 5 litres of fresh gasoline and thought "now please start". Emptied the tank from the (supposed) bad fuel and held the flag high until everything once again set to be the perfect moment and hear the bike for moaning for the first time with them Duc pipes installed...

Almost **** myself (sorry) of anger and frustration when it once again didn't start. Thought about auctioning the bike several times... "Selling her that didn't start"...

OK, thank God I didn't. Decided to once again go throught the electrics on the bike and found the problem. You know, I have all the cables hanging down since don't have the undertray fitted... this meant that the automatic ignition stop switch was on (when bike fall to the side it cuts the power), what's the name for it? Problem was easily solved when I just lifted the switch in up right position!!!!!!!!

I realized I have a much more advanced bike because I had no knowledge of this switch existing...

Do you think it sounded nice??!! Want an answer go HERE ...

Cheers!
