You'll both love it. The roads are excellent, the drivers are excellent, but the road signs are quite solid! Ask Mr. Toad!

. . . but I am even more solid - especially now I have been reinforced with titanium

Make sure you've got proper insurance to cover you on a bike, most of the cheap internet policies have restrictions

Have fun

I trust you all have a great time. Ride safe, don't get over exited on those roads, France is the only place I know of that gives you a 2Km straight with 120 degree closing right hander at the end, without any warning !! So, the roads are great, but their idea of road safety is different from ours...

Take plenty of water with you, it gets quite hot in bike kit even this early in the summer. Get fuel early, many fuel stations are closed on Sundays and automatic ones don't take UK plastic.....

And.... I hope you all have a better ferry crossing than my recent experience. Turned up in plenty of time to find that our spaces had been taken up by other bikes who were actually booked on later crossings, and had to wait 5 hours outside in the howling gales of last weekend and the French operators didn't give a s%&t about it. Mr P&O will be on a very heavey letter from yours truely....

Have fun, keep it safe.
