Default new singer, yet the band remains successful

So, like a fari few of the aged bodies that seem to lurk here, I was listening to Back in Black today and got to thinking how many other bands have continued to be successful after they've changed their front man/woman? What acts have still garnished sales and remained "true" to the spirit of their earlier musical endeavours after a singer switch?

AC/DC for openers, but who else?
Maybe the Sugababes [didn't say the music had to be good!]
INXS, although not sure if they're making new music.
I supposed one could jokingly throw Rainbow onto the heap.

Anyone who says Van Halen can get their coat now!

there's an argument to say the "DC" were more sucessful after Bon Scott had departed.

anyhoo, can't think of any right now.

the commodores had a bash after Lionel left but were fairly pants to be honest. as were the jacksons. but then again you could say they were the jackson 5 then....

From Paul Di'Anno to Bruce Dickinson - Iron Maiden, though they were on shakey ground with Blaze Bailey. Re-assessed the situation and brought back Brucey just in time.

Queen Paul Rodgers is a good vocalist to take Freddie Mercurys place.
Another band returning to the scene Alice In Chains according to Jerry Cantrells website the rest of the band feel it's time to return with a new vocalist four years after Layne Staley's death. They are going to see how thing go on a tour this summer.
