Sorry to intrude onto your area..but do any of you know of a road called 'Pages Walk' in your area ? I lived there for a while in the 1960s.

Yes, I know it - between Old Kent Rd and Grange Road.
I think it may have changed a bit since you lived there though, was that bloody awful estate built then?

No it was just a little terrace of two up two down houses with a big Rail depot just behind it ...mind you I was only about 4 or 5 when we lived there !!

"Pages Walk" I knew when I read the post that road rang a bell.
My nan lived in the flats behind the rail depot on the Old Kent road, they were owned by the Peabody Trust. She lived there almost all her life. I remember my Dad use to use Pages Walk to park the car when we visited her. I spent about 6 months flat-sitting while she was in hospital. Fond memories. I haven't been there for ages. If you look on Google Maps (satellite) you'll see its all changed. |
