Brake disks - SV650.org

Roughly, what's the expected life of brake disks on an SV?

(I know it'll depend on how people ride, brake etc - just an "average").

Why are you asking? Are they a bit thin? FWIW, I still have the original pads in mine at 24K, let alone the disks

Dipsh*t award goes to me. I meant pads.

No real reason, jyst wondering really. Having a "oh, what's the point" day at work so brake pads seemed more interesting.

I will prbably change mine every 8-12k to be honest. My mates GSX14 is still running the ones fitted in Japan, at 36k!! A lot of motorway miles though

Oh, right, I kind of expected it to be about 4k miles for some reason.

Depends on the pads... But more importantly on riding style. I just wore out a set of Armstrong Racing HHs in about 4000 miles, but then I've got quite a lot of brake. My EBC HHs on the stock front lasted... Well, 6000 miles and they weren't finished when I sold them.

i get about 12k from the front, and about 10k from the rears.
