My K1(reg 2003) curvy has done 8k now. I really dont like the suspension though. Going along a lumpy road is really hard work, front forks seeming like rigid. Cornering seems ok sometimes but at others it's like I can't hold a steady line through the bend. I've seen mention about spring/cartridge replacements, but they all seem to be for the pointy sister. Anything about for a curvy?

The front end can easy be sorted with some better springs and in my case 15W oil, rather then the if I remember correctly 7.5W. Ohlins do the springs for about 70 quid.
Rear shocks range from retro fitted GSXR and ZX6 shocks on ebay at about 50 quid, to Hagon about 250quid, and Ohlins at about 500quid. |
