Default pedestrian lemmings

Has anyone else had an encounter with this exotic beastie....i have been extremely fortunate in the last week i have had a close encounter with 2 !!!!!

they just seem to step of the pavement at exactly the right time as if it were some sort of game...my second encounter was definately on purpose youngish chavette... saw me coming from a good 100 yards i even made eye contact...but she stepped towards the bike then stood there for me to ride around.

ah well....it's all good practice

oh, yes!

The story of my broken jaw is legendary, but I still wish I'd hit the dozy fk instead of swerving to aviod him and ending up somersaulting over the handlebars....

I must say that I do get pleasure in redlining the Zorst note infront of lemmings right at the last minute before almost colliding with them. The look on their faces when they've just realised that they've soiled themselves is priceless

30mph (+) clip round the lug hole works wonders.

A back hander from a kevlar glove is a bit much though

Yup, I've had this happen, last Saturday in the pi$$ing rain just after having new tyres fitted. I had a feeling the group of gurly teenies were going to do it so I just slowed and stopped. These days you just have to expect it, the play chicken a lot in Suny Swinedon

Meant to post on this on Monday night.

Nearly got me a couple of peds near London Bridge on the way home, was filtering down to some lights.

Didnt even see them due to them being in front of a transit (I hear them gasp/swear tho :P)

Thing is, they were only 20 meters from a proper crossing (the one I was filtering to which was red-lighting the road at the time)

And dont talk to me about Soho on a Friday night when the weather is decent......

They must be getting out of their holes after winter hibernating. Yesterday on my way home from work I was approaching a crossing. I saw a woman stood on the right side of the road pushing a wheelchair with some else sat in it. As the green light was still on I kept going but a car in the opposite direction stopped. Well the caw pushed the wheelchair in the road and started to cross. Checked the green light is still on and kept going, as at that point it would require some serious braking with some cars behind me. She was still 3 to 4 metres to my right when I went over the crossing. Did I get abused or what? She stopped there mouthing off. I seriously considered turning and going back and asking her what her problem was? As far as I am concerned I did nothing wrong. In different circumstances I would stop but I am not going to put myself in any danger just because the caw decided not to wait and go for it! I felt pretty angry afterwards. What do you think? Should I have stopped ‘cause she was pushing a wheelchair? What would you do?
