I'd not seen it, so ta for posting.

Signed, but I imagine we'll get the usual "there's no reason to believe we're not God-like in our infallibility and no reason whatsoever why we should listen to 'experts' whose opinions and experiences differ from our own imaginary utopian ones. So we'll carry on doing as we damn well please. Thank you."
response.

What speed limit are they proposing?

I fully support speed limiters ... at 186mph

Some times we need that power to get us out of tight situations,
kind of like when a moped that is redlining at 60mph trying to overtake someone, but then the situation changes and forces the rider to have either get out of the way or shoot forward, obviously he cant. put restrictions on our bikes and it will be very similar anything where you take controll away from the rider is a liability IMHO AND COMPLETELY CRAZY

The problem with this is that whilst the "legit" reason (safety) is perfectly acceptable on its own and should be more than adequate to prevent it, the perception will be that this is an excuse and in reality a tiny factor and that the primary reason we don't want it is that we all spend our time riding deep into treble figures.

Although i certainly see where your coming from on that, it just seems like they are taring everyone, admitadley i do have some "spirited" rides, but my dad never does but does lash it on track days, what about the cars that go thrashing through towns and down motorways will they be ristricted? . . . course not. . .
Triple figuers? without a doubt some of us love them, some of us are reckless but no more than car drivers. . . if this goes ahead the industry, the lifestyle and everything involved will suffer Badly IMHO

As far as I can see, It's not about safety, it's not about reducing your speed, it's about them ushering in a GPS system to track your every move and them having ultimate control.
