Default quick accel kit?

Hey guys, first post ...

So I'm in dire need of a new sprocket/chain combo and i've been trying to find a quick acceleration kit. I haven't had much luck in finding anything. Is it just me or what?!

What are your guy's recommendations on kits? Are there any quick accel kits out there even? Thanks guys!

Ooh, if it matters I'm a *yank* and over in the U.S. :P
(Love the forum btw)

hi when i changed my chain on my sv650s curvy, i used a standard front sprocket, but a 49 tooth rear (45 was standard) this has lowerd my gearing so it can accelerate faster. however in the wet and accelerating out of slow bends the back can step out

yes i understand your way of thinking but when buying a new chain its the same price and i can still go up on the front sprocket to raise the gearing.
if my rear sprocket was ok i would have done it the same as you

49 tooth cog on the rear and your talking about changing the front that'd be worth seeing

Out of interest, whats you topend with that beast on the rear wheel?

Go one tooth down on the front sproket, or up two on the rear. That should give you a bit more "go", at the expense of top speed (which is fast enough anyway!)

my son said the gearing is lowerd by 8.somthing with a standard front and a 49 rear i suppose if you did a lot of high milage i would think of gearing it higher. but its bloody fast away in the traffic light GP.

I'm back on standard gearing just now and I could still loop it at the lights if I wanted, not really sure I'd want more

How many teeth on the original front sprocket?

Is it hard to change the front sprocket? Only did so on my Suzuki TSX 50ccm
