Default how high to jack up

i really like my curvy SV but am frustrated by the low seat height. i added a jack up kit a few months ago but dont honestly notice any difference.
does anyone know how high i can jack it up without significantly affecting the straight line stability?
where can i buy such a kit, as the only ones adveritsed on ebay seem to lift the seat height by 20mm. this is what i purchased.
any advice greatfully accepted.
i am considering selling her for something taller if i cant sort it.

The relationship/distance between the footpegs and seat hasn't changed actually. You have basically pulled the swinging arm down......distance between ground/axle and tail is larger but no change to seat to pegs distance.

I was thinking that myself, not sure what you're after here. But in terms of sheer seat height, I doubt there's many street bikes higher than mine, and there's no tradeoff of stability at all when combined with good quality suspension parts. I wouldn't attempt it with standard, in fact, I don't even like mine with the standard shock in (when the Ohlins is out for servicing). The rear's lower in that config but it still headshakes on full power. Then again, it doesn't do it anywhere else, so most SVs might not have the power to cause that problem most of the time.

What an unhelpful answer

If you feel the problem is a cramped riding position you have 2 options, rise the seat or drop the pegs. A taller seat alters your relationship with the bars, and may just look well... silly.

If you don't generally lean the bike far enough to touch the foot pegs down, you can lower them using either jack-up plates on "upside down" (Some can do this, some can't so be careful) to move the mounting for the footpeg brackets down. Some fully adjustable rear-sets can drop the pegs to lower than standard too. The Buel XB9 has foot pegs that drop down about an inch from the mounting points so this may be helpful. They fit some bikes easier than others though and may need a fair bit of work.

Naked model standard controls are lower, that might help- there's often people who want to swap, too. Or, a taller seat, but that'd probably look odd. Small differences can make a big change, I was very skeptical of this til I moved mine by all of an inch backwards and found it miles more comfortable.
