chrome plated exhaust downpipe
sick of the brown downpipe, has anyone had their exhaust chrome plated? good results? and what sort of cost is involved?

Getting your downpipe chromed won't be a miracle cure you know. You'll still have to polish it to keep it looking nice
 Just get busy with some autosol and save your money

polish the stainless steel downpipe, and get ok results, and it needs to be doen quite often...
polish a chrome pipe, and it will be much better results, and it doesnt need to be done so often. it all depends on the cost of chome plating. draper, could you find out a rough cost for this from your friend? |

might not be relavent, but industrial hard chrome for a pair of fork stantions, assuming you strip and send them on their own, is on the order of £130
i'm going to be phoning a chromer this afternoon at some point and will ask if they could do downpipes...
