hi ppl took my k4 pointy for its 1st m.o.t today its passed but ive been told that the swing arm bush's need replacin.
can any1 tell me roughly hpw much they will cost and will i ave to go to main dealer. many thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() |

not too hard a job if you've got some threaded bar and big washers kicking around.
Also a selection of bits of bar to prop the back of the bike up

i was told i might ave to go to main dealer to get them,i told them about the accident kwak and they said it might ave been that which caused it or going round corners a high speeds,by the sounds of it it aint an hard job

You'll probably have to buy them from suzuki, I haven't heard of an aftermarket source, where fits them is a different matter.
Not sure how high speed cornering damages bearings though, thats what they're designed for!

talking of bushings how would you recommend getting wheel bearings out im going to powder coat them

Couple of things, mine never needed changing in 153,000 miles, I looked at them at 50,000/100,000 and 150,000, and they were still good, that said I did originally when I got the bike grease them as Mr Suzuki is a bit tight with the old grease when they come from the factory, and regularly re-greased.
Fitting can be done quite easily with either a press (which you probably haven't got) or creative use of a good vice and some spacers. Cheers Mark.

Don't know how to get them out without use of a punch, which will mean you need new ones.
