No more adjustment at either end of cable left after 25k miles , time for a replacement , how much does a new one cost / easy job to do ?
Cheers Steve

have you ever adjusted the clutch? sounds like you have been fiddling with the cable instead of adjusting the clutch |

Might aswell bung in a new cable. Do you make a habit of sticking the bike into neutral at trafficlights? or do you just hold the lever in? I tend to stick it in neutral, figured it saves the cable a bit, but not really sure

Yep always put bike in neutral at traffic lights , I think its to do with the type of riding I do , on my fazer had to change clutch cables every 30k
Regards Steve

if i remeber correctly they are roughly a tenner..
most dealers have them in stock, just make sure the parts person gives you the right one, they differ for the naked and faired. Cheers Alex |

I have to keep the clutches perfect on all my bikes, otherwise my wrist complains, a lot. (it took the brunt of falling off my 125) So I oil the cables regularly, and I haven't worn one out yet.

I have not seen cable stretched to the point it will not work.
move adjusters back in and adjust clutch mechanism first.than cable. |
