You mean the fully faired Bandit 650?
My ex had a Bandit 650, she now owns an SV650 and had a Daytona 600 in between. She prefers her SV to the other two, in fact she sold her Daytona especially to buy the SV after riding mine. The Bandit was bland compared to the SV, it's heavy, soggy handling and gutless. The SV has more of a soul, if that's possible in a Japanese engine. |

There is a mini review in this months PB. I might scan it in and post it on here if you ask nicely?
![]() Then again, you might already have the mag and have read it! Billy. |

The early reviews say it's very, very good at what it does and feels far more than a faired Bandit, it has a different injection map and a revvier feel. I've sat on one and it's a handsome chunky bike, comfortable and attractive. It's decent quick too apparently. Reviews said handling was neutral but good and it had good midrange shove.
When you're hearing stuff about bandits, remember it's one of the new liquid cooled bikes, not the old 650. |

Sat on one at NEC, they're very nice looking and with new gsxr clocks including fuel gage its the bizz, i secretly think my dad would have been better off with the new bandit. Upright riding position, comfy seat and all improved looks plus smoother ride. The exhaust would need changing though it's colossal.

I dont like it. The proportions of the fairing are all wrong, they should have designed a new fairing for it rather than nicking one of a K5 GSXR.

If I had to have a faired, fairly cheap mile cruncher that would probably be it. The Bandit is a great bike, they don't keep selling them by the bucket load because they're pants.
![]() GSXF looks ok, I agree about the fairing lookiing a little too sporty for the rest of the bike but it's function over form (or something like that!). |

Have got one in the showroom and so far the majority give it a thumbs up. Road tests have been good too. Not ridden one yet but will do when it warms up!
