Default Thank you, arseh*le

...for breaking into my car parked outside my house this evening. I hope you have a really terrific drug-hazed Christmas on my wife's £15 cash and £10 House of Fraser voucher. I've stopped her cards, so they are no good to you. It's just coincidence that exceptionally we had allowed Sophie to ride upfront as a Christmas treat and so Anne had gotten out of her usual routine when we parked up outside and so hadn't remembered to pick up her bag. It's a nuisance that her cheque book was in her bag too, but I've stopped that too, so any cheques that you write fraudulently will bounce.

So we're sat here waiting for the police to arrive. Car window is toast. Can't get it sorted for 2 days. And it's ****ing down.

Ah well. That's life I spose. I was driving earlier, and parked on the driveway, I moved the car onto the road so that I could get the bike out of the garage to wash off all yesterday's muck. I'd come in and our neighbours arrived for a Chistmas drink, and as I won't drink and drive (not even to move the car the few yards onto the drive) the car had to stay there, and I hadn't noticed Anne's bag in the passenger footwell.

Happy Christmas, arseh*le.

Damn ed, sorry to hear this. Have you managed to cover up the window with something, stop the rain getting in? DOnt let it dampen your spirits too much, the theiving scum will probably get caught sooner or later

Chin up mate

Bad news Ed. What makes it even worse is thinking it's your fault cause of forgetting the bag. Thieving scum. I hate them with a vengeance.

Oh my God! Im sorry to hear that Ed. Dont beat yourself up about it too much, its no-ones fault that the bag was forgotten. At least it wasnt too much money taken, the cheques/cards were easily cancelled, no-one was hurt, you still have your bike and the car window can be easily replaced.

I know its not the point though - The theif will get their come-uppence sooner or later.

Chin up

Maria

Getting over it a bit now. Cops told me not to touch it until they come. I'm sure they have higher priorities than me, so I'm not surprised that it's over an hour now. The inside of the car is now drenched. Glass all over. We've never been burgled here, never had anything like this happen here. It happened last time outside our house when we lived in Cornwall, b*stards then stole a few CDs and, perversely, a duster.

Moral - never but never leave anything lying around - even if you think it's safe. Ask yourself 'where's my bag/wallet' any number of times a day, and carry the bare minimum around with you.

Very true... my last car was broken into a couple of times cos of my "nurse on call" badge in the front, i`d be broken into by smackheads looking for needles and syringes which unfortunately i always have to carry.

Hope you don`t have to wait much longer and can get the window sealed up at least.

Sorry to hear the news mate.

Shame you don't live near me as your car would be in my garage avoiding the rain and getting wetter!
