Oooh well here we are again! Winter always drags with no bike racing to enjoy. So how do you reckon the boys will go in this first race then? Who is your man for the title? Who will be a success and who will flatter to deceive?
Remember that Losail is 3 hours ahead of U.K. time and that the races are in the evning.(Of course this then means that Ducati have nop chance as due to their "dodgy" electrics they are bound to blow their headlights!! ![]() A lot of new talent has stepped up to the plate this year- Lorenzo,Dovi and De Angelis from the 250 class along with everyone's favourite piano playing former WSBK champ James Toseland.(Interesting to note JT mentioning that he has been lapping in Qatar 5 seconds faster on his Moto GP bike than he did on a WSBK machine.......now that is scarey!) As a reference perhaps last year at Losail the 1,2,3 race order was Stoner,Rossi and Pedrosa. You expect any big changes to that this year? Sticking my neck out I am going to suggest that maybe Hayden will be up at the front this time in Qatar. I expect Lorenzo to be there or thereabouts but maybe fade late on and even maybe fall due to pushing it. The season I think will be more of a head to head with what I am sure will be greatly improved HRC bikes and Ducati. I do not expect Melandri to come good on the Italian machine until mid season onwards. It will not surprise me if Lorenzo is the best Yamaha performer as the season progresses, which will clear the way for Rossi to leave and take his dream ticket Ducati ride to round off his career. I just cannot see Yamaha though squeezing enough from their motor to compete sufficiently,it will be the brilliance of their riders that will keep them in contention more than anything. So there you are peeps, plenty for you to disagree with there! ![]() |

I really am looking forward to this race. Because it is history and I feel a lot of the rookies this year are gonna do really well. Speshly Lorenzo. Still backing Rossi, but now Toslos too
![]() Think the race will pan out, Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Rossi, Edwards. Just think Lorenzo is like the old Rossi really. Come into a class and take it by storm. |

And both Pedrosa and Hayden seem to prefer the 07 bikes at the moment. And 3 rookies in the top 4............lets hope this bodes well for the season.

Hey yeah, I totally agree that WSB has turned out great this year. I really felt for Biaggi these past two races. He rode for his life coming all that far from behind and then DNF from second position. Hope he recovers. I was all against his attitude when he starred in MotoGP and having all that pressure from Dohan first and then Rossi, not to mention the Italian media. WSB made him into a changed man and we're all glad for it. Agree? He's giving us the trills only his real rival supplies, ie No.46. Sorry Pedrosa
