Default No claims discount

If you have TPFT and you have your bike stolen, so no fault on your behalf, do you loose your no claims discount?

It's 'No Claims', not 'No Blames'

Technically it's possible to loose three whole years. Depending on when you made the claim into your current year.

You lose two years PLUS the year you are on. To me that's criminal in it's self.

Thats what happened to me last year. 100% rip off. the amount I got for my bike being stolen has been offset against my loss in no claims and their assumption that Im higher risk because I made a claim. I would have been better off not claiming.

Also, on a lot of policies they cancel the policy so you have to start again when you replace the bike, so if your premium is high it is sometimes better not to claim especially factoring in all your previous points.
