I have the v1 and have found little problem with it although never had to deal with tom tom. I had to swivel the clutch and brake down though so the mount cleared the tank but this made for a better riding position for me anyway

Where do they mount? I'm also thinking of getting one, but the logical place to put it is bang where my steering damper is.

I don't know what fittings come with the v2 but the v1 came with loads of options. I have mine fitted onto the clamp for the front brake. If I remeber I'll take a pic tomorrow and post it

Yes it does, a proper bike one is water proof n shock proof so will last longer (hopefully). I use mine in the car most of the time (with the car kit) and take it on the bike once in a while and tend to only use it to get home after I have riden to nowhere for the fun of it.
Here is a pic I took today - as I remembered on the borders ride out whilst pedro was fixing his gear leaver - of the mount to my V1 tomtom rider: ![]() Last edited by 5hort5; 17-02-08 at 08:02 PM. |

I've got one. It's mounted on the clutch clamp. The mount looks totally different to the one 5hort5 has. I'll try and remember to take a pic tomorrow.

There is extra software you can use with your Rider2 so you can record your trips and put them onto Google earth, which is cool to keep.
![]() Tomtom are about to update the Rider2 software this month. |
