I'm not quite sure where this should go so i've put it here, if its in the wrong section then if a passing mod would move it for me i'd be grateful.
Basically i'm looking to sell my Photography gear to a friend who wants to get in to it as i'm emigrating and need the cash but have no idea what to ask? Once i'm settled and earning some money i'll be rebuying new gear!! Gear is as follows. -Canon 350d with 18-55 kit lens, roughly 15000 actuations, very good condition with box, charger, all leads, instructions, disks etc.. -Canon bg-e3 battery grip + 2x battery trays -Canon 17-40 f4L lens boxed with hood + pouch, a little under a year old in "as new" condition -Canon 80-200 f3.5-5.6 not boxed -Canon 50 f1.8 boxed + hood -Jessops extension tubes -Canon 580ex flash + stofen diffuser -Energiser fast charger + 4x energiser 2500mah batteries for flash -Rocket blower -1x 4gb sandisk extreme III, 1x 1gb sandisk ultra II, 1x 1gb kingston elite pro, 1x 1gb jessops + 1x 256mb sandisk compact flash cards -Canon corded remote rs60-e3 -Canon hand strap e1 -Lowepro slingshot aw200 bag -Hoya 52mm uv filter -Hoya 52mm cpl filter -Hoya 58mm cpl filter -Cheap no name tripod, sturdy but a p.i.t.a to use!! -4 x 1250 mah batteries for the camera So what do you think i should be asking for to sell as a kit? I know it will only be worth a fraction of what i paid for it. Its served me well but needs to go unfortunately ![]() Thanks in advance. Darren. |

funnily enough that's pretty much what I've just got myself, got to be close to £500, but I guess £450 for a friend.
mind all mine was new, so up to you i guess ![]() Cheers Mark.

I'd suggest it's worth quite a bit.
One of those lenses appears to be an L series lens, they're not cheap, and it's worth noting Rictus has gone the economic route and got some FD glass with adaptors. As all the newer EF lenses are worth more due to being a direct fit with autofocus, I'd say that kit's worth a lot more than £450. Jambo Edit: To get an idea, go through the Amazon or Jessops website and throw all that in a basket. Now this stuff isn't new, so take maybe 50% off the total? Alternativly I'd give you £500 for that, I'd get way more selling the kit on ebay I reckon. I'd keep the nice glass though, I'm selfish like that ![]()
