Stebel Magnums - where to put them (Baph please read) - SV650.org

I have had a pair of Stebel Magnum horns for a while and got round to trying to mount them today wihout success. Has anyone got these horns and fitted them to their SV and if so where on earth did you mount them?

The usual mounting point is way to small for these massive horns but I couldn't see any other obvious places to mount them.

Any help advice would be greatly appreciatted.

PS - interesting to note that when I took the fairing off my original horn was not attached to anything. It had all the mounting pieces but upon closer examination it didn't look like they had ever been screwed in.

For a curvy, but could you do something similar for the pointy? Goes at the top of the rad mount within the fairing.

I presume that when you say its a sport, you mean the full-faired pointy job.

If so, a little bit of persuasion and a bit of bent angle-iron means you can mount it behind the LHS fairing with the horn itself pointing downwards, on the fairing mounting bracket (frame-end). I haven't got any pictures at present, as my bike is still awaiting repairs - it was still attached there when it went in, however.

Indeed it is fully faired. I like Stu's idea of putting it behind the radiator but not sure that two of them will fit?

I CBA fitting a relay that 2 requires so just use one as a direct replacement. HTH
