Thought i would ask for a ballpark part x figure for my 06 reg 27k sv650s FSH, original owner from George Whites

Got offered 1500 ................................

Recon it make more sense to keep it as a commuter & buy a bigger sport touring bike for 2 up use / weekend use

Agree with Blue - got £3275 payout from the insurance - A red K6 with 12K on it - according to the assessor, 7k miles dropped the value by £3]

So, £3k minimum, tho that may be hard to achieve with K7's available on 0% @ £3995

Honestly in the current climate and a market fairly flooded with SV's do you think he could £3k with 27k+ miles on the clock. You can buy a new one for £1000 more.

3 Weeks ago I got offered £3200 for my 56 plate with 3400 on the clock in pretty much as new condition with FDSH. I wouldnt have thought i would get much more privately

Edit: If anyone want a fully faired SV650S sport £3500 (Although even at £3200k I have no doubt i would still have it in a few months time.

I know its a bad time of the year however I recon it will be worth 2200 ish privately , eg on autotrader a 55 reg with 11k FSH etc is going for 2400

Even on a bad day it has to be worth a grand over trade in ... a grand is a lot of money!!

I think Steve is about right....a little over ?2k.

Current market with 0% finance on new and some hot deals on the K7 models it would have to be keen money to sell. There are lots of K5's onwards with virtually no miles on them and seeing as the model has hardly changed a low mile K5 would be worth more.

Sadly 0% etc is very good for new buyers but not so good for those trying to sell.

Its a no brainer , I'll keep my sv as its worth more to me than 1500 quid p/x , or 2k private sale .

It did make me smile when the salesman thought it was a mis-type on mileage & thought mileage was 2700 miles , he said the average yearly mileage is 1500 miles what a joke.

thats why I kept my SV when I got my GSXR, dealer only offered me £800 for it and at the time it was worth more to me to use a commuter.
