Having only just passed my test I've still got to find the ideal SV650s too, but until then I'm looking to buy some kit. I'm only 5'2" and size 8-10, so if anyone has any gear they are looking to sell let me know. London/Essex area ideal.
Will also gladly take any feedback about getting the seat sculpted or the bike lowered as I will probably need to get this done to get my feet flat. |

Hiya and welcome.... forget being able to get your feet flat, it`s not gonna happen!! I`m 5`4" and my SV has been lowered as much as they possibly can (40mm dog bones, lowered front forks and a lowered seat) and I can only get the balls of my feet down. Having said that it feels ok and i have no problems manouvering the bike with feet if i have to ie. out of car park spaces backwards. Best of luck

Welcome to the madhouse!!
![]() ![]() I can't help with the leathers but PM Jo (She's called shop addict on the forum). She runs GirlsBike2 a ladies bike clothing shop in North London. And stick a "Hello I'm new" post in the Idle Banter section to say hi to everyone. ![]() |

Hello
![]() Give me a call and the shop, and we can discuss what will/won't fit you for your budget. Whether you're buying new or second hand, I should be able to give you some pointers. Edit - It might help if I give you the number ![]() Jo Girlsbike2 North London Last edited by JediGoat; 21-02-08 at 04:57 PM. Reason: I R Stoopid |

![]() Perhaps I've just got long legs for a short-ar$e... but I've been told that skinny thighs help too. So you never know - s'all individual innit. ![]() As for clothing - GirlsBike2 are very good for having stuff that actually fits. Otherwise I've often found AlpineStars sizes always seem to err on the smaller side too. |
