Default Leathers 1pc or 2pc Recommendation question..

So soon to pick my bike up and buying some leathers. Have up to ?500 could stretch a little more if there is a really nice set i see. However, so far the biggest problem is deciding between a 1 and 2pc suit.

I will be taking the bike to and from college every day, so will have to change at some point. Now, if i had the one piece its only one thing to take off rather than two pieces, but at the same time, if i'm out and about and just want to have a t-shirt and leathers on, is easier with a 2pc?

Any thoughts or ideas?

1-piece will offer a bit more protection as there's no zip around your waist.

2-piece is a bit more convenient though for everyday riding - you can pull up somewhere, take jacket off easily if it's hot etc. Also easier to go to the loo!

1-piece for the track.

2-piece for the road.

http://www.harpersraceshop.co.uk/item2957.htm

Got this jacket and matching trousers last weekend, trousers are grand as they have a velcro buckle rather than poppers so if you bloat a bit they can adjust easily.

Came off the bike the very next day and they did fantastic, just a small scuff on a knee, right in your price range and I can heartily reccomend! The shop is worth a look too if you arent too far from southend, fantastic selection.

Harper's down the london road? was in there today, great bunch of people. Where i'm getting my bike from they suggested a 1piece. Thing is, I do agree that taking it off would be a pain if your just out and about for a little while.

thanks for the replies will let you know my final desicion but definately leaning towards the 2pc
