Default Majorca

...have been invited to stay in a friend's apartment for a week in mid-August. Not been before. Can anyone please advise on how hot it's likely to be? 30C I can cope with, 40C is a different matter...

Parents have a place in spain...and in marbella it can get up to 40 that time of year, sometimes creeps to 41/42.

Chances are it will be around 35-38 possibly hit 40, obviously depends on the weather, if it rains...damn will it rain.

I'd go though, could even rent a bike? I would when I go to spain this year but i'm too young for rentals

About the same as Spain, 28-33, 35 is a really hot day I'd reckon. Being an island you get a nice breeze too. Rent a bike, enduro or trailie, excellent roads across he mountainous centre of the island.

That sounds very pleasant. Mrs doesn't do very hot, so that sounds good.

*shudders at the thought of another road like the one from Marbella to Ronda*

It was 105 (which is 40) once when I was in Mallorca, but that was the hotest in a hundred years so more like 35.
