Default Cost of fuel

This might have been mentioned recently but I havent filled up in over a month, pulled in to a motorway service todays and the diesel was 117.x.

I remeber the good old day when everyone was worried about a ?1 a litre

Oil is over $110 a barrel, a year ago it was $87.
The only way it will get any cheaper is if there's a global recession that slows down demand. That would mean most of us wouldn't need to buy fuel to get to jobs we no longer had...

My girlfirend has a picture of her parents cycling around next to thier house, we reckon about 20 years ago, maybe less, and in the picture is a petrol station, and the price of a gallon of 4 star was ?1.63 A GALLON!!!

It seems to be going up around a penny a week at my local station. UL is 109 a Litre!! Shocking!!

When I had a petrol car diesel was always cheap, now I have a diesel car, guess what?

Diesel is more expensive!!!

I paid 103.9 for petrol for the bike this morning and as is rightly mentioned - it seems to be shooting up by 1p per week.

found a petrol station here doing unleaded at 104p, most others are 4p more

It hasnt affected me too much yet, i budget on ?15 a fill up...so I've been able to afford the shell V-power through winter. Maybe not for much longer though

I was shocked on Saturday to see diesel at 1.18p in Thetford!

A friend has just sold his Lexus IS200 as at 28mpg it was starting to get annoying how much moneys worth of petrol it was drinking - three people came to look at it and ALL of them were moving down from even more expensive to run cars! Wonder how long it will be before older (5 years+) cars that do less than 30mpg will be worthless?

Yup one of the guys I work with just sold has Type R he couldn't afford to run it, he now has a 125 he will pass his DAS test soon.....

Oh the cheapest fuel around London I have seen in Watford, most places are 102.9 and 101.9 for petrol, I fill up there when ever I can.

The cost of fuel is massive now in this country, the problem being as the cost of fuel rise so does everything else.....I mean look at how much food is going up. The cost of living is going up so quick, yet what we get paid doesn't match these rises in everything going up.

The dispoable income in this country is getting smaller very quickly, while inflation will conutiue to rise, what does the government do? Increase taxes this has to one of most useless government to have been in power for a long time
