I've bought a pattern replacement rear sprocket. Now normally I'd fit it with the number of teeth stamped on the outside, however the machined recess would then be on the inside. This is at odds with the OEM sprocket which has stamp and recess on the same side. Any ideas chaps?

Being covered in crap and the sitting and staring at a dismantled TL and my two lovely Curvy's I would say that with your sprocket the side with the number stamped should be on the inside (against the wheel) with the recessed side on the outside (closest to Swingarm)

I'd fit it so the recess is the same way as was on the OE one .. its the offset that is important, not where the number is stamped!
![]() I doubt the what 0.5mm ![]() ![]() p.s. Do you have a new chain too?? Your Avatar is of a SVS, so 44t standard, fitting a 46t might be pushing your luck on adjustment with the original length chain??! ![]() ![]() Last edited by Blue_SV650S; 23-03-08 at 05:14 PM. |
