had a quote a few weeks ago ?430 f.comp, i was going to look at a bike tomorrow so i phoned to check with the insurance, but its gone up

What happened in those few weeks, any accidents? Is the quote for a bike you are looking at getting and is it a new model?

MCE on line were expensive, but phoned me within minutes and halved their on line quote to beat eBike who I was with at the time.

I have tried a few out of interest quotes using http://www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk/. I now know where I will be going next time

the same happened to me last time, i got quoted over a grand online, then they phoned me, and got it down to 450ish....... so i did the same today, expecting a phonecall which i got, but he could not do it any lower
