Default Matching Colour for replacement fairing

Could anyone please give me a couple of pointers relating colour matching. I need a replacement L/H upper fairing for my 2000 Curvy S (I had a minor off in the rain last Saturday causing mine to crack )

I have found one on e bay - item number 280213868383 (sorry I had to list it like this, I don't know how to insert links - advice on this would also be greatfully appreciated) and it looks the same colour as mine. I have PM'd the seller to ask if he has a colour code, but the only info he has is what is in the listing (SUZUKI PART NO. 94402-20F01-Y7E)

Two questions if I may - Is Y7E the colour code, and in your opinion is the part in the photo Grand Candy Blue?

btw, I haven't had a chance to lift the tank to check my colour code as yet, but I am fairly confident it is G.C.Blue.

Cheers.

Have a look in the service book, it will tell you the colour code in there also!

Link

1999 - Candy Jay Blue (Y7E)

2000-2002 - Grand Candy Blue (YC7)

I think.....

Any advice on whether or not the item is G.C.Blue, if Y7E is the colour code?
Failing that, can you give me an idiots guide to posting a link please - I sound like a right pillock don't I !!!! I honestly do know SOME stuff - honest

Yes, we've seen this one. It certainly seems to be the right blue, but the sticker may be the wrong colour. They did change in certain years as we know.

According to that part number, it's Candy Jay Blue.

Candy Grand Blue would end with 'YC2' .

Ben

EDIT: part number is defo not CG Blue....might just be the lighting making it look like it is. Don't famcy gambling then, I take it

Sounds like Candy Jay Blue to me going by the code, although looks like Grand Canyon Blue in the picture but you can't always go by pictures!

All you need to do is put a word in the text box, highlight it and go up to the
button above and type in the URL for the site you are linking too (file, properties, highlight address (URL), and copy and paste into the above )

Hope it makes sense....

Havin done a deeper search of t'interweb, I have found a site with official colour codes listed on it and Y7E is indeed Candy Jay Blue, Candy Grand Blue is YC2.

Does anyone know if the two colours are very noticably different, or could you mistake one for the other if you didn't have them side by side???

Don't wanna buy the thing n then it not match...........
