Ok there is a really nice bit of kit now available from Samco for the SV650 K3 naked. I have been in development with Samco on this kit and have the first set on my SV. See pictures attached. I have had mine produced in a bespoke silver (one off) finish which is not currently available - YET. But Im sure if people ask for it they will start to produce it soon.
These kits can be purchased from http://www.racebikebitz.com/ if you call or email them ask for Richard. he has told me these kits will retail around ?73 including UK delivery and vat but will consider a group buy if some of you get together. So on this forum you could save some money on a new accessory and get in before the shows start this year. They are available in all the standard Samco colours including blue. black, red, green, purple, bright yellow and orange. Of course you could ask for the silver as they are waiting for demand before mass producing this colour. I can tell you now its a great colour and matches my bike fantastic. Please note that there will be a premium charge for silver if they do produce it. Group buy discounts available if you all get together!!!!! I have a Curvy SV750 which runs perfectly well with the standard hoses, surely they are only for cosmetic reasons (i.e. change of colour)?
I can understand/accept that some would change to these as a cosmetic upgrade, but I think it should be mentioned that there is no performance increase to be had with these coolant hoses! |

They have only last week started the K3 hoses.
As for performance they do run cooler. But we dont get any gains from that like a racebike would. So you are right its only for looks. Like the majority of all our accessories right? |

![]() ![]() The ones on Ebay at the moment are for the Curvy's. Yeah I agree, many of the products on bikes are for cosmetic reason's. |

If they conduct less heat then that may help if you've any accesories mounted next to hoses, but that will actually make the engine itself run hotter.
If they're more flexible and pliant than standard then they're an improvement, but only marginal. All bling factor IMO ![]()

Mate I only wanted to let you all know that a new product was available for the K3 model. I did not expect it to be so negative. Im not trying to sell them to you.
As for the run cooler bit like I said no gain for us road users. As for the science behind the cooler running to be honest I dont know. I can only pass on what I have been told by manufacturer/supplier. Maybe they are wrong, does it matter? No. Because they are cosmetic! |

But on the other hand... They look nice, and if memory serves the hoses are on a 5-year replacement cycle. Don't know how much the hoses are new from Suzuki but I bet it's a lot. Course, my hoses are 8 years old and still seem fine but you never know, they might burst tomorrow and fill my boots with steaming poisonous coolant.
